Playa de Troya
A wide, lively golden-sand beach at the heart of Playa de las Américas, with the island's best concentration of beach bars and watersports right on the sand.
Playa de Troya sits in the middle of the Playa de las Américas seafront, and it feels like it: this is the busiest, most sociable beach in the resort, with a long run of beach bars, sunbed rental and watersports operators (jet ski, parasailing, banana boats) working the same stretch of sand.
The beach itself is wide and gently shelving, split loosely into sections — Troya I and Troya II — by a small headland with a chiringuito (beach bar) built on it. It's a reasonable swimming beach, though it can get genuinely crowded in July and August.
