Tenerife Airports & Getting There
Tenerife has two airports, and which one you land at depends on where your flight originates.

Getting to Your Resort
From the airport
- ✓From Tenerife South, taxis and buses (the TITSA network, route 343 and others) run directly to the main southern resorts.
- ✓From Tenerife North, it's a longer transfer south (around 45–60 minutes by road) if you're staying in the southern resorts.
- ✓Most package holidays include a coach transfer; if booking independently, pre-booking a private transfer or checking bus routes in advance saves time on arrival.
- ✓Car hire desks are available at both airports if you're planning to pick up a rental car on arrival rather than during your stay.
Almost all international charter and low-cost flights use Tenerife South, so unless you're flying in from elsewhere in the Canaries or via mainland Spain, it's the airport you'll most likely land at. Both airports are relatively small and straightforward to navigate compared to major mainland hubs, and queues for taxis are rarely a serious problem outside the very busiest arrival windows in peak season.
