Costa Adeje
The most upmarket resort area on the island, strung along the sunny southwest coast.
Costa Adeje is where much of Tenerife's higher-end tourism is concentrated: a run of 5-star and 4-star resorts, a palm-lined seafront promenade, and some of the island's best-maintained beaches, including Playa del Duque.
It blends into Playa de las Américas to the west without a clear border, so it's easy to walk or bus between the two if you want Costa Adeje's polish by day and Playa de las Américas' nightlife in the evening.
Siam Park is here too, making Costa Adeje a popular base for families who want a big attraction within walking or shuttle-bus distance of their hotel.
Restaurant quality is generally high but priced accordingly — the seafront strip around Playa del Duque and the San Eugenio area has the widest concentration of both international and Canarian dining. Taxis and buses run frequently along the coast road, so you're rarely more than a short ride from Playa de las Américas or Los Cristianos if you want a change of scene for an evening.

Practical tips
- ✓Book beachfront hotels well ahead in peak season (July–August, Christmas, Easter) — Costa Adeje's best-located resorts sell out first.
- ✓The TITSA bus network connects Costa Adeje to Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas and Tenerife South Airport regularly and cheaply.
- ✓Many resorts run their own free shuttle to Siam Park — worth checking when booking if that's a priority.
