Playa del Duque is one of Costa Adeje's most convenient beach days. It sits in front of some of the area's most upmarket hotels, but the beach itself is public. Tenerife Tourism lists it as an urban beach about 390 metres long and 60 metres wide, with pale sand, easy pedestrian access, adapted access, toilets, showers, changing rooms, loungers, restaurants and inter-city bus service.
The appeal is not wild scenery; it is reliability. You can arrive, find food and facilities nearby, walk the coast before or after swimming and continue along the promenade to neighbouring Costa Adeje beaches. That makes it particularly useful for families, travellers with limited time and anyone who values a serviced beach over a remote cove.

On busy holiday weeks, arriving earlier makes parking, lounger choice and finding a comfortable patch of sand easier. If you are staying elsewhere in Costa Adeje, walking the seafront can be more pleasant than driving a short distance and hunting for parking.
Do not treat a Blue Flag or a sheltered-looking bay as a substitute for the beach flag on the day. Wind, swell and local conditions still change. Follow lifeguard instructions and keep children within the designated swimming area.
