Los Cristianos
A former fishing village that's kept a more relaxed, local feel than its neighbours.
Los Cristianos sits just west of Playa de las Américas but feels noticeably calmer — a working harbour (with ferries to La Gomera and El Hierro), a curved sandy beach, and a town centre with more genuinely Canarian restaurants mixed in with the usual tourist strip.
It's popular with older travellers and long-stay winter visitors who want easy walking, good transport links, and a slower pace without being isolated from Playa de las Américas' amenities next door.
