Accommodation in Los Gigantes is concentrated around the compact resort, marina and neighbouring Puerto de Santiago area. The choice is smaller than Costa Adeje, which is part of the appeal: this is a base for sea views, quieter evenings and access to the west coast rather than a place with endless resort complexes.

Los Gigantes works particularly well for couples, repeat Tenerife visitors and travellers who want boat trips or the Teno side of the island high on the itinerary. It is less convincing for people whose priorities are major nightlife, a huge restaurant choice, shopping centres or being close to Siam Park.

Staying near the marina is convenient for boat departures and the small centre. Properties higher on the slopes can deliver dramatic cliff and ocean views, but the gradient matters if you have limited mobility or expect to walk every journey. Nearby Puerto de Santiago broadens the choice and can be more practical if beach access matters.

Playa de Los Guíos is the small black-sand beach immediately below the cliffs. Tenerife's official tourism listing notes easy pedestrian access but no dedicated parking and no disabled access. If a larger or more accessible beach is important, inspect the exact property location and nearby options before booking.

Cliff or ocean views are one of the area's strongest selling points, so rooms with the best outlook often command a premium. Check whether the view is direct or partial, whether a balcony is included, and whether a high hillside location creates extra walking or taxi dependence.

A hire car gives the most flexibility for western and inland sightseeing, although the roads toward mountain villages can be winding. TITSA buses make car-free stays possible for many routine journeys. If your holiday will revolve around Santa Cruz, Anaga or repeated trips to the far east, Los Gigantes is not the most efficient base.
