Tenerife Airports & Getting There
Tenerife has two airports, and which one you land at depends on where your flight originates.
| Tenerife South (TFS) | Tenerife North (TFN) | |
|---|---|---|
| Also called | Reina Sofía Airport | Los Rodeos Airport |
| Serves | Most international/charter flights | Mostly inter-island and some Spain mainland flights |
| Near | The southern resorts (Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas) | Santa Cruz, La Laguna, and the north |
Getting to Your Resort
From the airport
- ✓From Tenerife South, taxis and buses (the TITSA network, route 343 and others) run directly to the main southern resorts.
- ✓From Tenerife North, it's a longer transfer south (around 45–60 minutes by road) if you're staying in the southern resorts.
- ✓Most package holidays include a coach transfer; if booking independently, pre-booking a private transfer or checking bus routes in advance saves time on arrival.
