TITSA is Tenerife's public bus operator, and locals call the buses guaguas (a Canarian term, not used in mainland Spain) rather than autobuses. The network is extensive — it connects both airports, every major resort and town, and runs express routes along the main motorways — though frequency drops significantly on rural and inter-town routes outside peak times.

In the north, a modern tram (the Tranvía) runs between Santa Cruz and La Laguna, making that pairing one of the easiest car-free day trips on the island.
