Tenerife is one of the most heavily served Canary Island destinations from the UK and Ireland, with direct flights year-round from London and most other regional airports, expanding further with seasonal routes around summer and the winter-sun season. Flight prices follow predictable patterns: they rise sharply around UK school holidays (Christmas, February half-term, Easter, summer) and around Christmas/New Year specifically, and are at their cheapest in the shoulder months of April–May and October–November, which also happen to be some of the most pleasant times to visit weather-wise.

Which airport should I fly into?
Tenerife South if you're staying anywhere in the southern resorts (Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos) — which covers the vast majority of visitors. Tenerife North is more convenient only if you're staying in Santa Cruz, La Laguna, or Puerto de la Cruz.
How long is the flight from the UK?
Around 4–4.5 hours from most UK airports, making it one of the more accessible winter-sun destinations for a short or medium-length trip.
